Altermed is an annual fair promoting healthy way of living, alternative medicine,herbalism, healthy nutrition and natural cosmetics. It is the largest Slovenian event of its kind, and the growth trend can be seen from the increased number of exhibitors as well as visitors. This year Fair Altermed was ran concurrently with Fairs Flora and Wedding. All three fairs were visited by 20.500 visitors.

It showcases products and services of healthy nutrition, herbalism, alternative medicine, spirituality, natural cosmetics and sport.

A modern pace of life is often associated with unhealthy lifestyle and eating disorders. Healthy way of living and nutrition are at the core of people's thinking. In everyday concern for their health, people are resorting to different complementary medicine treatments, herbal medicine and natural food supplements for better general wellbeing.

Free lectures, onstage presentations and practical kitchen demonstrations of healthy food preparation are a special magnet for visitors as they are a source of free lectures and presentations. Practical kitchen demonstrations and onstage presentations are an important complement to the hustle and bustle and attract a great many visitors.
